Odyssey Ecosystem

Odyssey Ecosystem is a modular web platform designed to centralize a community’s activities. The project brings together multiple services (Authentication, Streaming, Events) within a microservices architecture, enabling unified user management and improved maintainability.

Project Goal

The main goal was to simplify the user experience by unifying access to the different services. Thanks to a Single Sign-On (SSO) system, users can use a single account to access the Hub (streaming) and the Awards (voting), without having to log in again.

Technical Architecture

The project relies on a containerized architecture using Docker. Each service runs independently, which makes updates and load management easier. Nginx acts as a reverse proxy to route traffic to the right containers.

🔐 Security & Identity (Auth)

OAuth2 authentication service handling sessions and security with JWT tokens. It provides secure, centralized sign-in across all applications in the ecosystem.

⚡ DevOps & CI/CD

CI/CD pipeline built with GitHub Actions to automate testing and deployment. It validates code changes and ships new features quickly with minimal downtime.

🎮 Awards Module

The Awards module handles real-time votes and events. It’s designed to handle peak traffic during live voting sessions and keep data synchronized.

This project allowed me to apply advanced DevOps and software architecture concepts, including microservices, containerization, and automated deployments.
